“Coffee smells like freshly ground heaven.” – Jessi Lane Adams
We are so excited to introduce our new Go Get ‘Em Tiger Espresso Almond Butter with Sea Salt, the latest in our series of collaborations with some of our favorite coffee roasters. This new recipe replaces Tigerwalk Espresso as our featured Espresso Nut Butter (you can still find our Tigerwalk Espresso nut butter on Equator Coffee & Tea’s website).
L.A.’s Go Get ‘Em Tiger (GGET for short) is a talented collective of innovative coffee pros who roast some of the best coffee we’ve ever tasted. The business started in 2012 as a pop-up inside L.A.’s legendary Sqirl café (fun fact – we’ve featured Sqirl’s jams several times as part of our Featured Jam series). Founders Charles Babinski and Kyle Glanville have over 20 years of coffee industry experience between them, along with respective United States Barista Championships. Needless to say, they know their stuff. Since their humble beginnings with a single espresso machine, the business has grown to include a roastery and seven L.A. café locations. Please pay them a visit and let them know we sent you!
GGET’s signature “Minor Monuments” espresso offers balanced sweetness, complexity, and notes of rich chocolate that perfectly complement fresh-roasted heirloom Mission almonds and Jacobsen sea salt. A touch of coconut nectar adds a dimension of sweetness and organic virgin coconut oil smooths out the texture to create an almond butter perfect for toast, oatmeal or swirled into ice cream (see below for recipe).
To celebrate this delicious new nut butter, we’re offering it at a 15% discount for the entire month of September!
