Happy accidents can inspire the greatest creations. In the case of our newest Limited Batch nut butter, Chocolate Macaroon Almond Butter, inspiration struck when our Operations Manager Kevin tasted some of our Toasted Coconut Almond Butter mixed with Chocolate Sea Salt Almond Butter. He fell in love with the rich, chocolatey, coconutty result and suggested it as a Limited Batch recipe.
Mark and the team took this idea and ran with it, developing the recipe based on these flavors and textures but leaning even more into the concept of a chocolate-covered coconut macaroon. They replaced our normally large coconut chips with shredded toasted coconut to mimic the unique chew of a macaroon and bumped up the amount of chocolate, because why not? The result was a nut butter so perfectly indulgent and popping with flavor, yet still significantly lower in sugar than other chocolate nut butters, that we could not wait to share it!
Also, you may have noticed the new look! Our Limited Batch series is getting a New Year’s makeover, with a redesigned colorful wraparound label. Each new Limited Batch nut butter label will feature a colorful design that matches the vibe of that particular butter. For instance, Chocolate Macaroon Almond Butter is our first limited batch of 2021 so it features the colors of a beautiful sunrise on the first day of the new year.
