Farm to People is an online farmers market and grocery delivery service, delivering to all of NYC, Westchester, and parts of Connecticut and New Jersey. By supporting farmers and makers through direct relationships, they are on a mission to build a better food system for everyone along the chain. What inspired you to start this store or join the team?
Farm to People's mission is to make it as easy as possible for people to access the very best food from trusted farmers and makers. We want people to have access to farmers, makers, and brands that value the best ingredients, ethical sourcing practices, and the highest quality products. By supporting farmers and makers through direct relationships, we're on a mission to build a better food system for everyone along the chain. Full transparency, better food.
What are three things you love about the community/town that your store is in?
Our community is so wildly strong and champions the work we're doing to support farmers and makers doing things the right way. The New York (and now beyond!) food community has been such an amazing part of our growth. They've shared us with their friends and families, and introduced us to farmers and makers right in our community.
How long have you partnered with Big Spoon? How did you discover/hear about Big Spoon?
We've been working with Big Spoon for about a decade! Our CEO, Michael, was actually the first to connect with Big Spoon when we were a much, much smaller company. It's been amazing to see the growth of both companies throughout our partnership. That's a lot of nut butter!
Why do you enjoy working with Big Spoon Roasters, and what has made the partnership successful?
Across all the different people on our team over the past decade, everyone has had nothing but amazing things to say about Big Spoon. Beyond making amazing products that our customers love, working with a team that equally values great food and makes it sustainably could not be a better fit. We're hoping for another decade+ of working together and more jars in FtP boxes.
What's your team's and customers' favorite Big Spoon recipe these days?
We can't stop making the maple cinnamon pecan pancakes. There's nothing better than these pancakes all year round, drizzled with local maple syrup.
