This t-shirt also serves as a reminder that when we buy something, we “vote with our dollars” for the world we want to live in. In other words, buying a product supports the whole supply chain behind it. Here’s the good news: We’re all empowered to slow and even reverse the damage done by the palm oil industry.
Palm oil production is devastating for the environment and heavily impacts wildlife habitats, especially for the nine subspecies of tigers. According to our friends at Carolina Tiger Rescue, palm oil production and deforestation destroys an area equivalent to 300 football fields every hour. At this rate, the estimated 5,500 tigers left in the wild, which are classified as endangered, will lose their natural habitats in a matter of years at the hands of palm oil production. Palm oil is in an incredible number of foods—over 50% of consumable goods— due to its cheap and easy harvestability, but here at Big Spoon, you’ll never find it on our ingredient lists.
Together with Carolina Tiger Rescue, through our awareness efforts, this t-shirt, and contributions with each sale of Lum Lum Thai Curry Peanut & Cashew Butter, we’re committed to saving tigers and reducing palm oil use, setting the standard for true sustainability and transparency.
This t-shirt is composed of a lightweight poly/cotton/rayon blend from American Apparel that’s super soft and won’t shrink. Sweatshop-free and ethically produced.

Our handcrafted nut butters and bars are freshly made in small batches and typically ship in 2-3 business days. We offer real–time shipping rates for services including USPS Priority Mail, USPS Retail Ground, FedEx – 2nd Day, and FedEx Home Delivery. These options include estimated shipping and arrival dates, but please note that delivery dates are not guaranteed, as they are subject to change by carrier. We don’t add any handling fees to your orders, and we work hard to negotiate the best shipping rates available.

INGREDIENT INTEGRITY
Each ingredient we use is carefully sourced based on our strict standards for taste, sustainability, transparency, and the fair and ethical treatment of everyone involved in producing it. Most of our ingredients are Certified Organic and all are GMO-free. We work exclusively with whole, natural foods, and you won’t find gluten, soy, or anything described as a “flavor” among our ingredients. We also never use fillers or shelf stabilizers like palm oil, hydrogenated oils, or partially hydrogenated oils.

Our skilled food artisans roast, toast, measure, and mix each batch by hand to exacting standards to get the pinnacle of taste and freshness from each ingredient. The small scale of our batch process allows us to craft each jar and bar with incredible precision and care you can taste. This level of focus also allows us to carefully inspect and taste each product to make sure it meets our standards before it is packaged and delivered. Our commitment to keeping production in-house ensures the highest quality standards while also creating sustainable jobs for our team.
