Holidays or not, gingerbread radiates a snuggly sweetness we can’t help but crave when the cozier seasons roll around, but this year, you can forget the mess of cookie cutters and gumdrop buttons. Limited Batch Gingerbread Crunch Almond Butter is just as nostalgically satisfying straight from the jar.

This warming seasonal nut butter combines our signature heirloom Mission almonds, the crunch of Organic pecans, Organic Vermont maple syrup, Jacobsen Sea Salt and an array of traditional gingerbread spices that will transport you to your favorite neighborhood bakery or homey holiday kitchen. We love spooning it on fresh oatmeal with dried cranberries and winter fruit, spread on toast, or just solo as our favorite sweet treat.

Mission almonds are also nutrition powerhouses, offering vitamin E, magnesium, and 20% more protein than other almond varieties. In addition, they require less water for cultivation, making them a more environmentally sustainable choice. Unlike many almond butter makers out there, we mill our almonds with their anti-inflammatory skins intact, further boosting their antioxidants and heart-healthy fiber in our nut butters.

Sourced from a single family-owned orchard in South Texas, our Organic pecans represent the sweet, buttery standard of the South’s favorite nut. In addition to being pure comfort food, pecans contain unsaturated fats that can help lower blood cholesterol, fiber to promote good gut health, and vitamins and minerals proven to help lower blood sugar levels and promote brain function.

A Brief History of Gingerbread
As early as 2400 B.C., gingerbread was used for ceremonial purposes by ancient Egyptians and Greeks. Some historian’s credit gingerbread’s arrival in Europe to a 10th Century Armenian monk, while others claim French Crusaders brought back samples of the delicacy from the Middle East. Bakers in the court of Queen Elizabeth I are said to have created the first “gingerbread men,” or person-shaped cookies, which the queen gave to visiting dignitaries in their likeness. Throughout Europe, and now of course the USA, gingerbread cookies and houses are beloved confections primarily associated with the winter holidays.

Sustainable Packaging
Every packaging choice matters when it comes to the health of our planet. Our nut butters are packaged in reuseable and recyclable glass jars with recycled steel lids and uncoated paper labels printed with non-toxic inks.
