"Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world together." - Woodrow Wilson
We are always looking for the best ingredients and best practices, and we take pride in our small-batch, scratch-made process. For years, we've baked granola for our nut butter bars, and we’re proud of our granola. It’s delicious! Over the past few years, we’ve gotten to know the like-minded folks at Michele's Granola, with whom we've collaborated, exchanged products, shared ideas, held social media giveaways, etc.
Their granola is delicious and made with a similar philosophy and integrity as our own. As they explain on their website, "Our commitment to making the very best granola in the very best way possible is not only what sets us apart, it's our reason for being."
Michele and her team use simple, wholesome, non-GMO ingredients to make perfectly crunchy and flavorful granola. As they've grown their operations, they've remained dedicated to a small batch process, baking everything themselves in their Maryland kitchen.
They are also committed to sustainable practices. A few of their initiatives include; powering their production facility with wind power, using sustainable packaging materials, and purchasing carbon offsets to balance the greenhouse gas emissions from their delivery vehicles. The more we learned about Michele’s Granola, the more deeply we wanted to work with them.
One idea was to collaborate on a limited batch, seasonal offering, and we still might do that, but when we approached them about making a custom granola for use in our nut butter bars, they were more than game. After a few test batches, they nailed it, and we’re thrilled to announce that we now feature Michele's Granola in all of our nut butter bars! Specially made for us with just gluten-free oats, non-GMO expeller pressed canola oil, maple syrup, and sea salt, it provides the perfect amount of crunch and toasted oat flavor to our wholesome protein bars.
